F10 5 Series - Wind noise in the back

Took an 2012 F10 530d out for a test drive today. It drove fine and looked straight, but my 10 year old daughter complained it was a bit noisy in the back like a window was open. I jumped in the back while my GF drove and above 50mph there was a very noticeable wind noise which sounded as if it was coming from the bottom of the rear screen or the boot lid. I would best describe it as a low pitched whistle which increased with road speed.

Everything looked OK and the rear glass was all BMW stamped so I assume it was original. Is this normal?

A friends 520d F10 had this after a shunt, took several attempts at repair with the body shop before it was resolved

Could have been a failed/twisted rubber seal.

There are plenty out there, find one that doesn't do this would be my advice, mine certainly didn't.

OK, sounds like it's not normal then.

I wasn't keen on the black/black/black interior on this example anyway, and I'd prefer a later facelift car, but it was local, the dealer was happy to let me have it for a couple of hours and it seemed well priced.

I'll find another one to try, I'm in no rush.
