Not a fan of either. Just not the same stance any more compared to models of old. The front nose of all current 1, 3 and 5 series are too droopy.

I like the way the bonnet comes down lower on to the lights on the LCI. Looks very much more aggressive.

I like the bonnet/lights on the LCI but the pre LCI lower bumper looks better.

Wow I like it. Front end looks a lot sleeker - like the E39 was. It's the only thing I hate about the current F10 - perfect from the back and side, but when you get round the front it looks like it's been punched on the nose and swollen up. Looks like they put an ice pack on that big swollen snout and its gone down to what it should have been all along

There isn't much BMW can do with that due to pedestrian safety legislation on front impacts.

Personally I like it more than the pre LCI. The SE always looked boring IMO, I doubt the M-Sport will have many changes though. It will be interesting to see what they have done with the lines down the side of the car as they have kept that well covered up so far on the actual pictures.

Pre facelift looks like a stuffy older man's car. The new one is much improved but the rake of the bonnet and overall look to the front is still way too soft for my liking.
