It's not really about the space - it's just a better quality product which feels more premium inside and out. Though if the numbers dont work the numbers don't work. I desperately wanted to like the 3 as the performance figures especially on the 330d are absolutely excellent but I was glad to give it back after a day.
The combination of Estoril blue and cream leather is stunning. As someone mentioned, xenons finish off the look too. Seen so many new F20 and F30 BMWs near me lately which look smart, but then ruined by crappy halogen reflectors.
Always got to be cream and a good wood choice, I can't understand the current obsession with boring black. My x5 is cream and bamboo and a pal has one with black and alu and it feels so much less special (although he has a twin turbo and I have only the one ).
I have been pretty gentle on it but even on part throttle it picks up speed quickly and so smoothly with a much less peaky delivery than the SLK.
That said my childish side got the better of me on the way home this evening, traffic lights on a dual carriage way 60 mph road and a Clio 172. I was in Eco Pro mode (great for heavy traffic because of the soft throttle response) and even though they tore of the line and I was mindful of £250 tyres, when I pinned it he went backwards rather quickly and it was all over by 60.
Lovely lovely combo, I dont think i could live with that colour carpet day in day out though, it would be dirty as buggery within 10 mins with my wee ones
Love everything about that car apart from the carpet colour :S I just have visions of it being an absolute nightmare to keep it respectable, especially this time of year.
