Who thinks Jeff Stelling’s got a point here. I certainly do.

He’s a numpty. Don’t over-complicate it, it’s not fair to amend the draw. Just make it a straight draw as it’s always been.
 
The problem is so many people still see the early rounds of the FA Cup as some sort of financial lottery for lower League sides. It's absolutely mad that the financial well-being of these sides (partially) rest on getting lucky and getting an away tie vs Liverpool, Utd etc.

Relatively speaking, to PL clubs, FA Cup prize money is peanuts. In total the 20 PL clubs received just under £10m in prize money last season, with City picking up the most at somewhere between £3.5m and £4m. Offer the PL a deal, scrap FA Cup replays (their only purpose is to give lower League sides an extra chance of a payday) in exchange for PL sides giving up all FA Cup prize money. Any prize money that would have been given to PL clubs can be distributed between every club from League 2 down.
