FA Cup Final - Man City vs Stoke

I'm a bundle of nerves at the moment. I have spent all day at work trying not think about the biggest football game in our history. And failing. And thus feeling more nervous. I literally cannot wait to get on that coach at 7am tomorrow. I've not been this excited since I was a 5 year old kid waiting for father Xmas to see if he had delivered those prezzies that I really wanted.

What ever happens tomorrow, I want to remember it as a great day out, full of friendship, high spirits and great memories with those I love, watching the team that has dragged me from dispere to the highest highs over the last 30 years.

Those who support teams who are always successful won't perhaps appreciate the emotions that are running high in the Potters fans at the moment (and I suppose the Man City fans as well), but believe me its been worth all those years of crap to experience them!

Come on Stoke! Do eeeeet for the Meir Tunnel :)

Our record is pretty good against Man City last 7 games 2 wins each and 3 draws. I think we can do it, team spirit and work ethic will pull us through against the mercenaries who don't know how much this means.

Come on you riproaringpotters !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess you're happy with 4th place then?
No, I am not. But our team is easily good enough to win the league. We just haven't had the team bond together yet.

The same mercenaries who are 4th in the league? in a FA Cup Final? and qualified for the qualification stages of the Champions League? :p

If mercenaries do that then i would take that over team spirit and work ethic which in Stoke's case gets you 8th in the Premier League.

it's really not, you've only just cemented 4th place, there's no way the same set of players will go from that to wining the league and being better than United, Chelsea and Arsenal. In fact this set of players would struggle getting 4th again next season should you do well in the champions league

Lucky for you investment in players is the last thing City need to worry about

And in one sentence you explain why you will never win the league.

Your team will never bond while you are paying one striker to play for Cardiff, another to play for Blackburn. You send another to Real Madrid (why did Real take him in the CL while you had no use for him in the EL?) and another is playing darts and using the youth team as the treble twenty. Oh, and the latest striker is about as prolific as as Wally in a Wheres Wally book.

Right....

Thats the reason they are at their respective squads. So Mancini can sort out the core players. That way the team grows and bonds.

More nonsense made up by the Daily Fail.

Well he is prolific in Bundesliga and i think it is 6 goals in about 15 games isnt bad for your first 6 months in a completely new league/language/team.

Almost as good as Little Pea :p

Anyway! Back to the F.A. Cup, not nitpicking how poor / amazing Manchester City's squad is.

C'mon Stoke! Pull out another performance like you did against Arsenal :p

The team grows and bonds by having them "at their respective clubs"

Is is a corespondence course? Play by mail?

I can understand why Bellamy and RSC would bond via text message....

I would love Sanchez/Xavi/Kaka/Neymar/Ganso etc but they are just not needed.

Such a retarded list. One player who is playing in a crap league / needs better coaching before he becomes truly good, one player who is one of the best central midfielders in the world right now who you wouldn't be able to persuade to play for you anyway, one player who is past his sell by date and hasn't been great for a few years and then two wonderkids from Football Manager...

Jesus. This is why I want Stoke to win the cup.

Mixed feeling on who i would like to see lift the fa cup. On one side a very good friend of mind has been a life long city fan, even had one of those shirts with "brother" sponsor on it, you know older than biz:) But always loved under dogs so would like to see stoke win.
