I fear another footballing lesson tonight.
Best chance we have of progressing is to nick a draw and get them back to our place.
It was rumoured Owen may have made the squad but its not to be , Moorecelino is in it and I think he may make his first appearence since signing in August.
We too often try and outfootball sides that play well (as shown in recent weeks) problem is its hard to do this with vastly inferior players.
We need to smash into Chelseas midfield early and try and unsettle them.
Personally I'd play Shearer up front on his own with Dyer behind him , we have been badly lacking any pace for a while now and cant break away from defence and thats been hurting us.
Id also use Dyer to jump on Makelelie any chance he gets and try to force him into mistakes , similar to Fulhams tactics on sunday.
I have, myself, full confidence that if all do their duty, if nothing is neglected, and if the best arrangements are made, as they are being made, we shall prove ourselves once again able to defend ourselves, to ride out the storm of this football match, and to outlive the menace of tyranny, if necessary for years, if necessary alone.
At any rate, that is what we are going to try to do. That is the resolve of every black and white man. That is the will of NUFC and the Geordie empire.
