England manager Fabio Capello is desperate to lure Emile Heskey out of retirement to play in the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro.
Full story: Sunday Express

Is it April 1st?

I thought we'd started to turn a corner, I think we can safely expect Heskey up front with Lampard/Gerrard in midfield together at the next tournament.

He had a really good game against Spurs until he got injured. Aston Villa fell apart after he went off.

Oooooooooooooooooh. Now i understand why Fabio/England need him. I thought i was being stupid...!

Come on, it's one game. I don't rate him but i appreciate he is a good player sometimes. He may not score many goals but again, i understand he is a team player but for England? There must be other players to pick from.

Heskey is a big time confidence player. Houllier has a lot of belief in him and that has come out in his last two performances.

I don't think he should be called up for England though. Give a younger player a chance.

Capello really is a first class ****

Our national team is a joke enough already, and you want to be seen begging one of the worst strikers ever to wear and England shirt back? Personally if I was a striker or potential striker for the England team, I'd be insulted

As funny as I find this all what with supporting Italy and wanting more company in the group of big nations who are now pretty dire - what the hell has happened to Capello? :|
