Fable 2 - GDC videos - Beautiful

Looks impressive, not sure about forgetting about GoW2 for it though..

It won't be as big as Gears 2 by a long shot. This is one of those games that is critically acclaimed but so so in terms of sales. (I would hazard a guess most gamers don't even know who Peter M is).

Plus it's not a "traditional" genre game really for consoles.

The videos look good though, Not played the 1st one much so will give this one a chance. I don't think I can really think of any other games that i have played that are similar to this, which is always nice.

I loved the first game, Fable is one of my favourite games :)

Anyone know a (tentative) release date for this?

edit: Just realised I did the exact same thing as Ripper did, started watching the video, post and missed the fact that that question has been answered already :o

I've been playing MMO's for a long time, so I know what developer hype smells of, and when to sidestep it.

However, regardless of Moleneaux's promises, he /does/ always try to bring something unique to the table. I think the industry needs more people like him, so I'll definitely be giving Fable 2 a play.

Don't get me wrong, he's right at the front for trying new things and trying to bring the industry forward, but jesus christ he don't half waffle on a bit.

Not played the first one, but very tempted to get it on the Xbox Originals. Worth the £8 or so it'll cost?

absolutly loved fable, played it on PC though...really looking forward to this as long as its multiplatform :)

As said above, There's no chance in hell of it being a multiplatform. But the game does look awesome. I'm not sure I like the idea of the friend you invite being able to kill anyone he likes though. Obviously it adds to the Neo/Moloneux philosophy, "Because I choose to" But that would annoy the crap outta me.

Going by the fact that he played it on PC, I'm guessing he meant multi-platform to mean a PC release as well. Which is extremely likely of happening, perhaps a few months after the 360 release... but it will come out on PC.

I also played Fable through on the PC. It's worth it if you enjoyed it on the Xbox originally.

The PC version has some extra armor/weapons/items.

The major plot is developed further in the PC version, it also introduces Scythe and develops Rose further.

There's a few extra quests and side quests too :)

Ah Good point, Yeah no doubt it'll be out on PC and 360. Just not on PS3. Which is to be honest a shame, but if there were no exclusives, There'd be no point in having 2 consoles on the market.

I like the other thing they announced

They have their own Arcade betting games, whatever you win take into the real game world
