If the official xbox box art is true then it confirms Fable 3 for pc.

Microsoft’s Fable 3 will be released for PC as well as Xbox 360 when it goes on sale this December, the official boxart for the game seems to indicate.

The publisher released official pack shots for the game today which carry the ‘Only on Xbox 360 & Windows’ badge.

UPDATE: Microsoft has now killed all links to the boxart, suggesting a PC release is definitely on the cards. Is this the first confirmed E3 spoiler?

UPDATE 2: Microsoft has issued MCV with the following statement. "We've made no official announcements but please stay tuned." Which, as you may notice, is not a denial

Microsoft haven't denied it so hopefully it's true.

I really hope so, i was annoyed that Fable 2 wasn't on PC as i prefered the first Fable on PC to the Xbox.

Do you not play as the son or daughter of the hero you played in Fable 2?

Meh, I'll probably get it anyways if I see it for a good price, I'm just being grumpy now as I didn't get to play Fable 2 on the PC.

I'm still holding out hope that their new Chapter distribution plan for Fable 2 is going to involve some form of release on GFWL though.

Fable 2 was one of the reasons I got a 360(which I've not regretted at all), but I'm definitely going to support a pc release of 3 if it happens. It's a shame 2 never seen a PC release, though I think people would still be interested in it if it was priced reasonably.

I'm really surprised. Microsoft tend to keep all their first party stuff on the 360. Nothing since Gears of War IIRC.

Oh cool. Despite it's shortcomings, I liked the first Fable a lot. Was disappointed when Fable 2 didn't come to PC. Looking forward to this if it is true!

Ah brilliant, I definitely preferred playing the first on the PC, still enjoyed the second on the 360 but I think the combat system especially works better with a mouse.

For me both Fables were a case of "everyone seems to think it's great, so I'll stick with it a bit longer", but they never really grabbed me.

Dunno why, just something missing.

I liked the first one on the PC and completed it but Fable II was rather 'meh' and I only played for three or so hours before getting fed up.

I thought both Fable games were a bit "average". The first one was quite good, the second was a little bit of a let-down. Not bad games, just over hyped, I reckon. Bit like the Halo series.

Maybe I`m just harder to please as I get older !
