Fable: The Lost Chapters

Found this the other day in my room and decided to have a blast on it before the release of it's big brother.

I forgot how good this game is. Not just the gameplay but the look and artistist style it has.

If you need a game to keep you entertained before the sequal i would recommend this.

I was thinking about giving this another whirl but I'm thinking Fable II is going to be rather similar so rather than endure two bouts of the same thing, I'll just wait for Fable II.

You're not alone, I have this on my shelf, And I was very tempted to put it in the other day, Especially considering whats out in October.

My biggest complaint with this game was the voice acting, it was so agonizingly 'carry-on' esque that it destroyed any credibility the story may have had. Also i wasn't a fan of the inability to change you moral standing after you had commited yourself to another for too long (ie. if you play as a good guy for ages, but then decide you want to be a bad guy your appearance doesn't change and the storyline outcome is unaffected).

Hopefully fable 2 will take itself slightly more seriously, its predecessor would have been one of the best games ever if it had done the same.

I enjoyed LC thought it was a good game, like streeteh said the voices are just well bad lol. Didnt think much to the good/bad paths as in the end it was the same if you see what i mean, also hated they way you aged with magic use seem a bit dumb. Hopefully Fable 2 will correct these problems if so i reckon it will be a great game.

I watched my mate start playing it the other day, great game.

Finished it twice though

The thing with that, Is it's a common factor in a lot of fantasy books. That magic drains life force, I though it was a good touch. Although, I must admit, I felt the whole system wasnt all that great. Not as good as I wanted anyways

For instance, Being evil made you look evil yes, Being good made you look good, and using magic made you look old, Using strength made you muscley, and fat food made you fat.

But that was still too linear for me lol, For instance I felt the maximum evil guy with horn, Should have been used for a maximum evil guy who used magic. Rather than just an evil guy. Demonic looking people should surely be kept for people of a magical background.

I dunno, it was great. I just wanted more from it.
