Fable TLC kinda laggy

Hey guys,
Just got Fable TLC for pc and with my system, suprisingly, i cant play it at full settings on everything.
My specs are gtx 460 1gb,
phenom x4 3.2ghz
4gb ram

Way more than enough to run the game, with everything maxed.
When i play, its kinda stuttery and slow. Any ideas?

Also i tried installing DX9 too, but its still the same.

Is the game up to date with the latest patches?

V-Sync disabled?

I think it may be due to the way Fable handles multiple cores that might be causing the bottleneck. I'm not sure if there's a community patch for it.

You can get apps to tur off/hide cores. Used to use one but can't remember what it was called. If I find out, I'll let you know.

So are you saying the effinity (if thats the right wording) of the cores is causing his game to stutter? I personally can play it here at maximum resolution with full graphics and not have a single stutter...

Same here smeaney, crappy 4850 too. I'm using a dual core but a mate with a card not much better than mine plays it with a phenom II cpu on a 24" screen smoothly too.

That game has so many bugs... I Got to a point where everything just died, so gave up with it, but I ran it smoothly with a Dual-core @ 2.13 with a gig of ram, and Radeon 5570..

Fable is like one of the only games without official patches, but its got the latest everything, drivers for graphics card etc.

Yeah v-sync is disabled.

Lucky git, but yeah somethings causing this, and my system can play black ops, conviction, c&c4, and much more with everything on to the fullest.
