Just noticed I've got dry skin on my face and I'd rather my skin looked a bit healthier on the whole, think winter's taken its toll :o
So what would anyone recommend I buy? Don't want to buy something that isn't very effective.

Advice taken from girls, metrosexuals and manly men who are sensible and realise women like soft skin :p :D

Although the mustard treatment is extremely potent I think it might have its work cut out on a woman :p

Vitamin E cream is great.

Body shop do one, but superdrug do a bargain range that is just as good tbh.

I use the loreal dual thingy - has two lotions that come out at once, one red, one white but that's a toning/moisturising one - you probably just need a good moisturiser, so go with vitamin E or good old coco butter :D

Oh i also have the clinique moisturiser the yellow one (can't remember for the life of me what it's called - but they sell one every 6 seconds or something daft like that). If you go for that, go for the gel rather than the lotion - easier to rub in and not as greasy.

Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser 125ml bottles

It's not too rich but its good, got recommended by a girl, she has amazing skin.
Ty both :D I'll have a look when I go shopping this week.
Wanted some recommendations as once before I got some cheap stuff (can't remember the brand) and it was useless :/
Figured I'll try to get into the routine of using it regularly again.

I like the St Ives swiss formula stuff. It is really good stuff, easily available, wont break the bank and I'm not allergic to it (and Im allergic to EVERYTHING!)
Ahh I'll consider that too :) My Mum's allergic to almost everything (to the point that I cant' wear musk b/c it makes her sneeze  )so I'm always a bit careful just in case I've picked up some allergies too :o

Vaseline Intensive Care Essential Moisture Lotion

They also do dry hands, aloe vera and dermacare ones
Ooh hands could be useful, my hands are getting a surprising beating at work lately :(

Basically I'm planning on walking into Boots and raiding the place, feel in need of the pampering :o

I suggest you follow a good cleansing routine and use an intensive moisturiser.

I'm not too hot on women's stuff, but a Nivea moisturising facial wash would probably be a good idea. Follow this up with bodyshop's coconut scrub, use a Simple Toner, and then moisturise with a decent moisturiser, look for something with Q10 in :)

Ant
That's roughly my sort of plan :) Just have to remember to follow it and not get lazy and just wash with nice dry skin inducing soap :o

It's suprising how quickly you can get into the routine. I personally don't bother toning, so that's probably the one I'd leave out if you're a little bit prone to not bothering like me. I can't stress enough how important I think a scrub is though.

Moisturise after washing in the morning, and again in the evening. I tend to follow my facecare routine seperate from having a shower.

Sounds like a plan
Usually rubbish with routines but lately my life seems to have become incredibly routine orientated  So might as well throw in something extra :p

Sounds a good price :) Can't get to Tesco till Saturday though but if they still have it then, I might buy it. :)

I did too  , mmm she gets this stuff and buys me imperial leather shower gel and gillette deodorant , mmm :D
I think you're getting short changed there ;)

I was really clever today.
I finally got the chance to go shopping for this sort of stuff (been ill and couldn't be bothered to look for optional extras before) so I walked into Boots all confident......then realised I couldn't remember a single recommendation besides vague names looking familiar :o
So I've ended up with Nivea body rich care body moisturiser.....I'm not entirely sure what drew me to it.

I think for Saturday (when I'll be next door to a Tesco anyway), I might need to write down a list. :o
