Facebook for Android

I have never really used the app, I always just visit the full site on my phone.

However after looking at and and having a go, apparently it supports push notifications in version 1.5, which I have running on android 2.2.

However I don't seem to be getting any push notifications, I only get the notification when I open the Facebook and and refresh it.

Is anyone getting push notifications?

seems hit and miss, I have the same account sync'd to my blackberry and my desire, sometimes the htc actually notifies me quicker than the BB but sometimes it doesnt for a while, i think if i have had facebook open since i started the phone it's quicker though if that makes sense?

I get you yeah. Did you have to configure anything or change any settings to get the notifications?
For example in the Facebook app, under settings:

Refresh Interval?

Or should it just happen

I have to admit, I think the facebook app is quite poor, give it its due, it has got better. I much prefer to just visit the site in my browser...I was just interested in the notification idea....it's probably less annoying that it doesnt work for me! Cheers
