Facebook for iPhone issue

Hey,

My next door neighbour has just got an iPhone 4 and installed the Facebook app on it. Whenever she opens the app and goes to Chat and sends someone a message, the message is sent fine and shows up in chat but it also shows up in her Facebook Inbox as well. The recipient receives the message in chat but doesn;t get it like an inbox message.

Any ideas why her chat messages are bring put into inbox as individual messages?

That's how Facebook work now. They're just "messages", and if you're online on chat then it will be delivered that way.

I'd wager if you chat with someone, then go and check your inbox, a copy will be there too.

Nope, only thing in my facebook inbox are standard facebook direct messages
