Facebook Marketplace query

I'd say noz as long as you can see the person making the transfer and see them logging in to their banking app via fingerprint or password

It would be a remote bank transfer then sent via courier.

If their name matches to their bank details when they send it? Would that be safe?

I sell a lot of stuff on FB and only face to face, bank transfer is ok but I will not let go of goods until I get confirmation on my phone app.

Do not do this.
Ramifications can be bad. Had this happen to myself. Never again!

Cut a long story short, the account was stolen. And I was under investigation for money laundering, they proceeded like I was complicit. I had to prove my innocence.

My entire bank account was locked. Without being told.
That meant no DDs out, no wages in. Rent mortgage etc would have bounced.

This is why a name on an account does not stop problems. If you get a transfer from somebody you don't know they still could be using a stolen card. It's safer to do cash when it comes to selling things, except this doesn't stop someone causing problems for you. The seller could pay cash but most of it may be fake, or they may do a runner with the goods. I've seen it happen.

Dodgy ground now having online accounts.
