If I sell something via Facebook marketplace, any concerns with taking a bank transfer?
I'd say noz as long as you can see the person making the transfer and see them logging in to their banking app via fingerprint or password
Absolutely not, FB/Gumtree anything like that is for face to face only.It would be a remote bank transfer then sent via courier.
If their name matches to their bank details when they send it? Would that be safe?

Cut a long story short, the account was stolen. And I was under investigation for money laundering, they proceeded like I was complicit. I had to prove my innocence.
This is why a name on an account does not stop problems. If you get a transfer from somebody you don't know they still could be using a stolen card. It's safer to do cash when it comes to selling things.
Dodgy ground now having online accounts.
Yes. I sure learnt my lesson!
Was always told. BT is fine. Can't be reversed etc etc.
Wrong!
