This should help those who hate the new facebook lay out:)

If you don't like the new facebook, you can change it . On your Home page, look to the top left menu and click on MORE. Then drag STATUS UPDATES to the top. After dragging to top, click on it. That becomes your default and it is like before

Some peoples did:p

Although not mine. I just like the easier layout of the older style

Im just trying to help those who are suffering:p:D:)

I didn't mind it that much tbh... Always find it funny the outcry of status updates saying they hate it...

And then they all start joining groups to change it back. See, this is what happens when the masses all flock to one thing. The stupid people who hate change come along too.

This only shows you status updates though, not photo additions or comments. So its not quite like the old one :/

Whilst we're here.. how do you stop those random stories?

I remember saying I was a "fan" of F1 but now if I go on Facebook after a grand prix they spam me with the race results.. sometimes ruining the race if I haven't watched it.

Had a look in the account options but I see nothing

you can hide that poster from your newsfeed.

Alternative suggestion, which I didn't think was available in the UK yet, but I'm currently using: Facebook Lite.

Completely stripped down, designed for low bandwidth connections in developing countries, which means no applications (hurrah!) and a basic news feed of statuses, photos and videos. Liking it. You do lose some functionality, but you can always switch back to standard Facebook, and it's not completely finished yet.

I found out about this from somewhere else, but good useful trick, was annoying me for ages trying to sort through stuff in a different way... but fixed now :)
