Facebook notifications on ios5 not working

Hi all,

I am trying to get my Facebook app to work properly but can't seem to figure it out. I organise nights out and get togethers using Facebook and like to know if plans change or people need more info etc but for some reason I get no notifications on my lock screen when I get messages, responses and invites. I have to go into the app and refresh it.

What settings do I need to get these updates on my lock screen when they happen without the need to go into the app?

In notifications in settings it is set to show on lock screen, banners and badges and in the Facebook settings in have push notifications turned on but still nothing comes through.

You say you've set the notification options for the app in Settings, but is the app actually listed under "In Notification Centre"?

If I go to settings> notifications it is in the list of "in notification centre"

I generally find facebook notifications to be pretty **** in general. Sometimes works perfectly and come through like normal then will go for ages and will only appear when in the app.

All other apps work perfectly, just facebook for me and always has been.

Certainly sounds like you have done everything right.

Same, half the time you don't get any notification on the app. They just go missing, seen plenty of people complaining in the app reviews.
