Hi guys,

I general I hate social media... I'm a pretty private guy for several reasons but I have had to create a facebook account as I have a business which I promote via facebook.

I am curious... As the settings are very confusing for someone who isn't experienced.

Is there anyway I can make it so no one can comment on my page, like or dislike my profile picture and cover photo?

Much appreciated.

You can turn off comments on your wall, no way to stop likes or comments on your profile or cover photo that I'm aware of though.

I think you are missing the point of social media. You can prevent comments from auto approval but if you switch all the settings off, the page wont get enough action to pop up on others feeds.

Social medias best feature is the viral spread of popular or good reviews. A good customer review that gets seen by the friends and family of that reviewer, will go much further than any amount of flashy pictures you upload.

What kind of business is it?

Right just playing round it appears cover photo you cannot do anything about. Profile picture if you set it as 'only me' everyone can see it but no one can like or comment on it - that's good enough for me as my cover photo is fairly bland I doubt I'd get an likes/comments on it.

I have my business page it is completely different than my personal profile. To setup a business page I first have to setup a Facebook account as say 'Joe Smith' then setup a separate business Facebook page as 'Joe Smith's Plastering Services'. I simply cannot setup 'Joe Smith's Plastering Services' without having created a personal account.

My problem being is that I meet someone new and it's the age old tradition off 'add me on Facebook...' and my Facebook is blank with no friends... So I've come to the realization that I will have to have a normal Facebook account. Now I'm getting multiple add requests as people see my name in other peoples friends list.

If I ever go into employment again then the account will be deleted it's just not for me.

No problem. The business page is fine we never get any negative comments on there thankfully it's all positive. Appreciate the help.
