Facebook ramps up Oculus integration

The latest update for Oculus now requires a linked Facebook account to access many of the social features. If you link a Facebook account you will be profiled whilst in VR for ad targeting.

The ads still only appear on the Facebook ad network, but will be targeted based on what you do and the social connections you make in VR.
