How annoying...whats the best way to remove this?

You cant (at least i dont think you can yet), to get rid of it temporarily (basically for the pic your viewing) just highlight and delete "&theater" off the end of the URL.

Just F5 once you view the images, not really much of a problem to press f5 is it.

There are one or two extensions for chrome that will do it and im sure there will be some for firefox.
