Facebook Video Playback Problem

Has anyone experienced freezing embedded video playback on facebook? They will buffer completely but then stop after 2 seconds - if I move the cursor along they play for another second or so before freezing again, and so on.

Any idea what is going on?

EDIT - This does not appear limited to facebook. Vimeo appears affected too

Very oddly - this appears to be related to my external DAC. Playing through J river it wouldnt play audio either until a reboot. Now rebooted and both works. Any idea why this is?
