Faces Of War

dejavu, but..

Ive heard its good, but its also not Company of Heroes, which is the best RTS since sliced bread..

Its good.... BUT...its severly marred by bugs and terrible framerates, even on my machine(X2-4400 and 7900GT). The demo level was fine tho, but that isnt anywhere near as intensive as the 2nd level onward, which is packed with AI units and physics that cripple even top-end machines.

I think the level designers got a little carried away. Damn shame :(

eh? Im playing on an 3700, x850xt and 2gb ram and im on high settings half way through the campaign with no probs even when it gets crowded?

It's a great game and an excellent followup to Soldiers: Heroes of WWII. Too bad about the timing of the release though. Playing this after completing Company of Heroes does show up a number of flaws. I do get the serious framerate issues whenever an airstrike blows a few buildings up.

Still - I love the gameplay and having direct control of your units. If you enjoyed SHoWW2 then I recommend you get a copy of this. All it's missing is the Cinema mod (in game voices and music need a serious overhaul).

I'll post some screenies soon...

yeah i got framerate problems aswell, even with my X1900XT 512MB, but good game, a few minor bugs that patches can fix, some nice exiteing fights, worthy of a go.

It is a very detailed game but i am having a framerate problem as well guys with my 3.6Ghz, 2G RAM 400Mhz 6600 Geforce Asus build gfx card, i thought their could be an issue with my internet!
