[Facespace] How do I turn off 'became a fan of' notifications

Stupid question:

I'm sick of my Facebook news feed being being full of 'Jim became a fan of mustard' updates. I really don't care. What Jim does to a jar of mustard in the privacy of his own home is not my business.

How do I stop this flood of fan related pap?

Whereabouts?

I can click the pencil next to the notification and select 'Less about Jim', but that's not what I'm after.

Is there a 'block the fan app' button or similar?

I resolved this by reinstalling my copy of facebook

I lost the install CD

Bah the news page does have an option page that lets you control what you see, but these stupid fan things aren't a selectable option
