Facetime-forpc (i.e. Apple Facetime for a PC)

One or two of my friends only have iPads and no PC. One insists on using only Facetime.

Apple don't make Facetime for Windows but I have seen one site purporting to provide a programme which allows a Windows PC to run facetime

Has anybody used this please? Or is it a scam site

Why not just use Skype ? It's for iOS / OSX / Windows.

I can / do use Skype BUT this friend (who has limited sight) only uses Facetime!

i'd say its almost certainly a scam

The only way I got facetime working on a PC, was by installing mavericks (aka, hackintosh) either on bare metal, or virtualbox

Unless Apple is willing to create a Windows client then no.

If they have an Outlook/Live/Hotmail/MSN account, they can use that to log into Skype.

If they have a Gmail account, then they can use Google Hangouts.

Both Skype and Hangouts supports a much wider range of platforms, unlike Facetime which is only limited to OS X/iOS.
