Facetime Query Ipad and Iphone

Hi all, I have an ipad which I use to factime friends and family with. All good no problem. My wife recently got a iphone4s and uses the same apple ID as the Ipad. So the query is, why when we get factime requests does it now default to the iphone ? Is it because generally the phone is always " o n " where as the ipad, when not used is off ? or is a setting somewhere.

its probably something simples!

If the incoming call goes to your email address then both will ring, if the incoming call is using your wifes mobile number then just the phone will ring.

This got me at first as well on my macbook. Rings on the email address on both but just the iPhone on the number.
