How do you restore a laptop/netbook to factory settings?...

Im asking this because my Acer Aspire One D255 Dual core Netbook didnt come with any re-store dvd's inside the box, which was Acer Sealed and bought brand new :/.

I am wanting to restore to factory without having to stick another OS on.

Current OS - Win7 Starter 32bit

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)

Tarr.

Look in the start menu for Acer eRecovery software or something. Jut run it from there.

Got it :)

Will leave it for the next few weeks as it will still be in use for College/Uni.

This removes all my data and personal information like emails and passwords stored in FF?

Cheers.

It will do. There's usually an option to keep/backup your files first. You should be able to access it from bootup aswel, pressing an "F" key.

I really wish they would supply some sort of install/restore dvd

Even if they spanned a recovery image over two discs or something

It didnt bother me, until i wanted to sell up and save for a new one :) - Asus Transformer :D

At least now i can restore it to factory settings and see where and when i can get rid :)
