FahMon 2.3.99.1 Released

FahMon 2.3.99.1 is now available for download here: http://fahmon.net/download.html

What's new in this release

* Fixed a nasty crash-bug which affected Windows users monitoring linux clients. This also cleans up some behaviour that affects all platforms

As always if you find any bugs in FahMon please report them using trac

Where does FahMon store its configuration now? It doesn't look as though the files in <wherever>\fahmon\config have been updated since November 2008 but up-to-date versions get dropped into the debug reports.

%APPDATA%\FahMon

This was done mainly to cope with Vista's UAC breaking when FahMon tried to write to %PROGRAM FILES%

If you start FahMon with `--local` or `-l` it will revert back to the old behaviour.

Thanks. The next question but not for you is why/how 'hidden files and folders' got unchecked in Explorer's search.....

anyway to get this to view info on the GPU client (vista 64bit, non console) can't find any fahlog.txt in the install dir

The fahlog is kept in a different location

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\folding@home-gpu

AppData is a hidden folder. You can point FahMon at this location to get it monitoring your GPU client

Just a heads up that the current OS X version crashes when trying to reload 4 clients, 3 of which are over a network share.

Crashes at start and doesn't get any readings!

The OS X version is a PITA to get a working compile of hence the lack of a current build. 2.4.0 should have a functional OS X release. At the moment there is some problem causing a crash on exit, however the monitoring side does work.

Well that would be preferable to it not refreshing automatically/crashing on start due to looking for remote clients

Any chance of a download?

I'll see what I can do. I'm in the process of tracking down an elusive bug at the moment, so I may hold off until I can get that done.

TBH dude, now even if I start it locally it crashes.

I'd be grateful on any new version you can upload.

If it has issues other than crashing on start then im not fussed!!!
