Just an idea for a future version of fahmon.

Selectable lists of clients.

For example.

I have many IT rooms where computers are folding. To check on the status of the clients, I have to scroll up and down a massive list to find the clients i'm looking for.

It would be good if I could have a separate list for each room that when selected from a drop down box, fahmon will only display the clients in that list.


Would that be possible?

Would also be helpful for people who are running different types of client, especially those with larger farms. Be good to see specific output of the different types of client.

Whitestar could also see the output of each room, see where he needs to add more computing power :p
 
Well I was thinking more along the lines of that if I had a separate list for each room fahmon wouldn't crash so often because of my stupidly long list of clients.

But all those other ideas are good as well
 
That's not a bad idea. The first thing that came to mind was allowing you to add a "category" property to each client, and then alter the client list to allow you to filter clients. This could also extend to showing only active clients, only SMP clients etc.

I'll keep it in mind as a possible enhancement.

Also, v2.3.2 is going to be solely a bug-fix release, so if you know of any bugs in the current version of fahmon (big or small), please consider filing a bug report with trac.
