Hi Guys - after following SB's guide but not reading the difference between versions 2.2.0 & 2.2.2 I have got scons to work.
However can't download new projects from Stanford. Staus bar gets to <5% & stalls & says "Hung" in ETA although client is working. [get same outcome with win version but then project are probably up-to-date with it]

Help Uncle Fungus! or anyone else with a clue to what's wrong & the solution.

Thanks

No problems here with 2.2.2, but I will try updating the projects list in a little while.

Have you tried reinstalling FahMon?

Not yet don't want hassle with scons not working.
Yr guide was useful but can only access these pages ie/oldsmp/

@KE1HA I have just the 1 PC with VMware & linux FahMon on the Ubuntu desktop.
I'll be interested to know how you get on if you give it a try.

Just update to 2.2.2 in Windows fro 2.2.1a & have the same problem. I even turned off firewall & the 1 on the router still no good:confused:
Message said can't connect to server - why???

Well I spoke to my brother who installed 2.2.2 & it worked.
I uninstalled Bit Defender - which again left behind folders & a million & 1 registry entries, now removed manually. Rebooted & hey presto! All now A1 & working inc. linux version.
Do not touch Bit Dfender firewall with a 10ft pole.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Help Uncle Fungus

Well ETA just said "Hung" I deleted & reinstalled - no change. Deleted the client from FahMon, deleted rpogram & reinstalled no change!! Preference file intact?
Had to revert to 2.2.1a to get time to work but when I opened preferences they were set to my choices in 2.2.2!!! Is this a file elsewhere on the system that is kept when you delete FahMon folder? If so how do you remove it?

So your running windows with VMware and Ubuntu installed as a Virtual Machine ?
If So, run FahMon from Windows and create a Samba Share on your Virtual Ubuntu , that's the easiest way.

I think that is beyond me unless there is an idiot's guide for me to follow.
