i played it on the PS2 and using the pad seemed great using the analog as you can slowly perform an action
either way i think its a great game and the first one in a while [since MGS3] thats actually gripped me enough to make me want to keep playing it to completion

Mouse and Keyboard
for the 'simon says' sequences I used (after changing of course) WASD and numpad 2468 - however in that mode you cannot look at certain pieces of evidence later in the game

Yeah i'd say mouse and keyboard too. It's a top notch game from start to finish. Had me hooked.

It all depends on the gamepad you use. I tried it with a MS Sidewinder but couldn't use all of the commands so switched to keyboard and mouse. I didn't enjoy using the keyboard and mouse so bought a Logitech Cordless Rumblepad 2, which is just like the Playstsation pad, and it was awesome.

Mouse and keyboard for sure. Fantastic game untill the end where it was CLEARLY rushed.
