With somewhat of a lack in pc gaming that interests me at present i decided to look into some alternative genres that I overlooked in the past, just start playing this game and am finding it rather good!

anyone else played it? thoughts?
 
Yeah - bought it on release day and played it a few times to play out the different paths

Really enjoyed it even if it had it's critics. It did go downhill at the end IMO but definitely a good game
 
Brilliant game :) Little short and very limited replay value, but great experience while it lasts.
 
Superb, original game. Goes a bit haywire later on but you'll enjoy it. It has QTE's though (quick time events) and not everyone is a fan of those including yours truly. It was worth playing to the end though.
 
yeah it turns out im not so much of a fan of quick time events it seems..... their so damn hard! liking the story progression so far even though it seems alittle slow, stuck in a basement breathing heavily looking for tapes atm! and its driving me nuts!
 
I bought it yonks ago on the MM, tried it for a bit, formatted, didnt reinstall

Came to install it recently on Vista 64 and apparantly it doesnt work :(

Im nearly done with KOTOR again and want to go to this before KOTOR2

I had to dual boot my system into xp just to play after i bought it second hand for afew quid, i did manage to get it to install under vista but the cutscenes where buggy and cutoff mid sentence almost every other time
 
Loved this game, i know its not without its faults but its one of too few games willing to take risks in order to deliver a unique gameplay experience. I think the publishers are working on a game called Heavy Rain at the moment.

It was one of my fav games from last gen, it was excellent until the last bit when it went strange lol. If i remember correctly failing a QTE didnt lose the game in most cases, jut opened up another path. Heavy Rain is going to correct all the issues people had with Farenheight, according to the devs, and looks stunning cant wait till its out next year.
 
It'll be interesting to see what you think of it when things start going weird. I think they must have been on drugs tbh, that or time ran out and they couldn't give a toss anymore.

I think you're way off there tbh.

The only complaint I have with the last half of the game was that it seemed rushed. It was always going to be a science fiction affair, just felt as though we missed out on a few things that must have happened between scenes.
 
I'm sure I remember reading something somewhere that it was meant to be part of a series of shorter 'Episodes' but then the decision was made to finish it off in one game, hence the funny ending

Not sure though - my memory's a little hazy!
