Well it finally happened, 4-5 inches of snow overnight so thought I'd try to get to work on the ZX10. I had forgotten to put fuel in night before so first place to get to was garage... big mistake.

Living at top of a 1/4 mile hill on high ground I knew it was gonna be tough but plotted a zig zag route down hill using side streets. This was 6am so no one else had been on them yet and the bike used undertray as a kind of snow plough. Covered about 1.5miles in 1hr.

Had a few &^%$ moments on way, and i finally got to garage only to find I couldn't climb curb and small rise to get into forecourt. The dude at garage was outside having a fag and just stood and watched me... took around 20 mins to shuffle the bike by hand to the pump.

With fuel sorted next problem was how to travel next 10 miles to work. Garage was on a hill at exit and entry was that same hill... decided to use pavement and try to get to main roads... failed though and decided to call it a day walking a couple miles back to home.

Tried at midday to get bike to work but failed, and now just managed to get bike back up hill home.

Damage, well didnt fall off thank god, but my headlight fuse has popped so im guessing water has got into hotgrips GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Tomorrow it all starts again... anyone else try it today ?

gl mate.... I think if this slush all freezes it's gonna be hell toms

i might have to buy a winter hack, like a little honda c70 chicken chaser, would be tons of fun as you could bin it and just pick it up and laugh
