Ok.. for the 2nd time ive failed, which has ****ed me right off. is it true Ill have to wait 10 days before I can try again.. Im just wondering though, how do they check this, as if a cancelation comes up for say 2 days, and I pass it, they cant revoke my license can they?
cheers

My instructor told me the same thing before I passed - I wouldn't risk the hassle of booking one before 10 days has passed on the off chance you lose your booking fee or something similar.

Wait about a week and start checking for cancellations every morning, I managed to book one on a Monday for the same week on a Friday so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

i dont need to work on anythin really, it was this one corner which was sooo tight. a 50 Road and then a really tight corner. But would I hve to wait 10 days?

Maybe it's a 50 road but it's not like it's a speed target - just go slower and take your time around the corner :p

I'm pretty sure their computers would recognise your driving licence number and detect that you've tried to book before the 10 days are up, and just not allow you to book one.

Yes, you DO need to work on something, given that the thread title is failed test AGAIN!

Learn from your mistakes and stop being so arrogant and you might end up passing next time!

Honestly, it sometimes depends on the mood of or how the instructor sees things. But yea, if you gotta slown down for a bend or corner you gotta slow down, 50 is the limit but not the minimum, if you see a corner coming up the logical thing to do is slow down. :)

um, hows that arrogant.. I failed first time, because of my nerves. Driving in the right hand lane of a dual carriage way. and the second time as Ive said, it was a 50 mile an hour road and there was a road on the left which was litteraly a 180 degree turn. Obviously if I took it slower I would have passed, having more lessons would be a waste of my time and money. i was going 20 mile an hour if that.

Believe it or not things like that, awareness of what the road is going to do and what speed you need to be, comes from practice. Lessons or not, more time on the road isn't going to do any harm.

It's arrogant because you've failed twice and are making excuses as to why, whilst claiming you don't need any more instruction. What's to say you won't take the test again and fail on something else? A friend of mine was like you, ended up taking about 6 tests before they passed :)

driving on the right had side of a dual carriage way! All the way along it! You think you don't need more lessons? Thats not nerves, thats dangerous and annoying for people that will take massive risks undertaking you!

but less of the flaming

I know even after my test I've been round a corner too fast (only the once mind) so, that is understandable! How was the road marked? chevrons, slow signs? I'm surprised your instructor hasn't already taken you round all the hot spots for exams! My instructor took me to all the places on the test that were likely to be awkward without prior knowledge of the area, this help as one of the corners was on my test, i think i probably would have failed if i didn't know prior to the test!

Perhaps book a lesson, just so he can show you all the tricky corners and junctions etc.

Also, i would leave it 10 days, its all done by computers so you will get flagged up instantly.

having a lesson wouldnt stop that corner be there.. dont know what your getting at..

I have another lesson, and the instructor says im driving fine and I fail again, it wont make any difference that I had that lesson.

i wasnt making excuses.. your chatting out your bum crack mate

Well, salami, what jamief is maybe trying to say is you need more experience on the road. Maybe you don't need lessons, but can you go out driving with your parents in the evenings or anything? When i was learning i used to go out driving pretty much every night with my parents.

What he's really trying to say is that because you're still learning you're useless at driving and that you shouldn't be on the same road as him. But you should just ignore him and rebook your test :p

I waited 7 days then just rang and rang and rang. Don't bother with the internet, just keep phoning them.

In the mean time drive as often as you can get someone to sit in, preferably in the car you'll use for the test though you can't if you're using your instructors car.

You are failing on actual driving faults - nerves or not - which would worry me and i would definatley have a few more lessons. I failed my first test (Which i took too soon with hindsight) on a driving error, the other two were stupid observations carried out either just before or just after they should have been. That is harsh, what you did would definatley have made the examiner uncomfortable and is a definate fail i'm afraid :)

You will get there in the end, i know your frustration but it is better to pass later than you should and be a better driver than it is to pass too early and have an accident. I'm a better driver for taking 4 tests than i would have been having taken 1.
