1 min into MemTest, my new Corsair RAM is flagging up a fault on Test#2 at ~14GB. I have 4 x 4GB modules, so this would indicate a fault on the module in DIMM slot 3 yes? (Slots = 0, 1, 2, 3)

I've also been have intermittent BSODs relating to mv91xx.sys (Marvell Sata Controller).. is it a possibility that this could be caused by the RAM, or indicate a mobo fault?

No, Dual channel memory interleaves the ram address space like striped RAID. It may be slot 2 or 3, but then again, it might not :(

You'll want to test each pair then test each stick from the pair that fails.

The memory problem could indeed be causing the BSOD, hopefully it will stop when the memory is sorted :)
