Failing SuperPI @ Stock speeds?!

Not enough voltage is causing a rounding error in the calculations.

It's how i tell if I have pushed to OC too far, a failed Super Pi.

If it's happening at stock I suggest you clear your cmos a couple of time to make sure you are running at correct defaults, it's easy to forget a setting or 2, i'm forever forgetting!!

Would that cause SuperPI to fail?

I RMA'd one stick not long ago, I guess ill have to do a memtest again.

Shall I just do it on all settings or just 5 + 12 for memtest?

And is 2 hours enough?

Do you guys think this is the reason why its failing SuperPI @ stock...

Why 2.8v though? I only want to run it standard for the moment.

Jokesters right, the stock voltage for Crucial Ballistix is 2.8V as rated by Crucial, but as you already know most Ballistix tends to die after a few months, mines currently in for RMA.

Personally, I've never believed that undervolting ram would cause errors.

BUT;

Im not saying you guys are making it up, so I just did a memtest...

Changed ram volts to 2.8V

Within 5 mins error on test 4 again! :(

Gonna RMA then get another brand.

Sounds like the best idea :)

Mate, you're not running two copies of SuperPI out of the same folder at the same time are you?

If so, one of them will overwrite the temporary files of the other and cause it to crash.
