Failing to boot.

I've got the system in my sig below bar the gfx as its back with OcUK for testing.
So I though I'll run it from the onboard gfx, started POST with a display. Unit then say starting operating system and reboots.

So using a spare HDD thought I'll install W7 again incase it doesn't like the change, can see everything during the install, make my user name and what not, it then restarts and reboots, gets to the loading o/s note and restarts again.
I don't think its the h/w as I've booted off a ubuntu live CD which loaded up and got me on the web.

Any ideas?

tried the hard drive in different sata ports/different sata cables ?

HDD plugged into the same cable/socket as the old install (using a diff HDD) as that one didn't boot with onboard.

try it in another port/another cable as although it loads it appears to have issues with the drive from your description and the fact it worked ok booting from cd.

It is odd, will try a diff socket but was odd how its failed in the same place on two diff drives.

Nope diff SATA socket tried and same response.
As soon as it reports loading o/s it goes to the beginning of POST again.

tried running with just a single stick of memory, and in different sockets ?
