fails to boot ?

I have an odd problem, were i can switch my PC (fans all run) but its only switched on nothing boots up monitor stays in stand by.

it will quite happy sit there doing nothing.

It can take me a good few restart attempts before it will boot up.

Any help ? :confused:

Your mobo might not have a speaker on it then. If you are plugging the monitor into your 8800GTS, have you tried removing the GFX card and plugging the cable into the onboard graphics (If it has any)

Have you tried taking the memory sticks out and then putting them back in again - I had a similar problem a while ago and it seemed to work for me.

Just to add to that, when you put them back in, do it 1 by 1 (If you have multiple), then take them back out and reverse the order of putting them back in, just incase one is faulty.

I dont have on board gfx, al give the CMOS a google now as am not 100% on it.

And i will try that with the ram next shutdown.... i remember i once put my friends ram in and it did the same then but oviously didnt occure to me with it not being my ram, so could do the trick.
