I recieved my new DS3 yesterday, it worked and I didn't have to install windows again. The only thing that didn't work was the network, I contacted Gigabyte and I was told to go into the BIOS and load the optimised defaults. Now when I turn the computer on, it fails to get past the second post screen where it shows a list of pci devices. Any suggestions?

Change the first boot device, and make sure you have selected the boot hard drive, thats if you have more than one hard drive.

yep, it still says the network cable is disconnected, which it isn't. I think it might be because I didn't have to install windows again when I recieved the new DS3. The network driver was still on the hard drive, so I deleted it and installed a fresh set from the CD but still no joy.

Did you change the motherboard without installing windows?. If so, I'm almost certain thats your problem.

Yeah, my last DS3 packed in, so I got another one without having to install windows. I got a reply from Gigabyte and they suggest re-installing the OS.

Right, i've re-installed Windows, installed the LAN driver from the CD but still nothing. I'm sure this didn't happen on my last DS3.
