Hopefully this qualifies for the right area of the forum, if not apologies.

I'm looking at getting a fake wall built to house my flat-screen and trendy fire, Just wondered if anyone perhaps has done something similar or is able to give advise what type of craftsman would be needed and a rough estimate of cost to build a similar surround as shown below.

Unsure if this is called a fake wall, a dry wall , linear fireplace or a accent wall, ashamed to say it but my building knowledge is non existent; however certainly like the look of it.

Thank in advance. :)

I'd imagine you want a carpenter to stud out the wall then plasterer to plaster it (plasterboard on top of timber frame).

Would be best if you have brick/solid walls I think.

To be fair a competent plasterer might do both.

My parents have something similar, but couldn’t put a TV on the wall like in your picture as it gets too hot.

It definitely wasn’t simple, but their flu went up through the bedroom above, if you’re planning on going through the wall behind the fireplace it might be easier.

Aside from the logistics of building it, are you sure you really want the TV that high up?

Definitely not, It would cause neck strain. The picture is just an example of the housing - the inner sections I hope to design to my own preference.

I think as 'The Craig' mentions I'd be best getting in a carpenter to begin with for quotation.

The thing with pictures from the web is that you can never really be sure whether it's something done for effect.

Beware too about dust/smoke/soot getting inside the screen. There's a thread a few lines lower down the page where @stoofa has a problem with insects getting in between the layers of the LED TV screen. LINK.
