fakefactory cinematic mod help plz

So i went and installed HL2 today ity's the first time i've played it since the first week it came out. sry i find single player games dull generally, so i had no wish to play though it again. however i wanted to test out Fakefactory's MOD.

yeah i'm being stupid here, but please tell me where the thing is supposed to be installed!!

Instructions says put the cinematic folder in here:

<PATH TO YOUR STEAM-INSTALLATION>/SteamApps/<YOUR USERNAME>/SourceMods/

however, my directory sturctre is not the same as that, my /SteamApps/username/ folder doesnt contain a folder called SourceMods. i made one and put the folder in there but i dont think, it changed anything.

the only source mods folder is here:

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods

and i have a:

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\username

but no

C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\username\SourceMods


i tried the mod folder in the Source Mods folder that i do have, but that didnt work either :/

is there something else i have to do to activate the mod or something?

i havent got the MOD yet so cant help, but can i ask you which version you are trying ? as fileplanet is showing 1181mb and 486mb ver .232

All mods should be extracted to:

...\Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\<modname>

So if it has not extracted to a new folder in the SourceMods folder, try that.

You have to restart Steam after you have extracted the files.

however the sound is slightly out of sync
i googled it and someone mentioned it on the comments thing on fileplanet, but there was no answers. anyone else have sound problem with it?
