Falcon 4 BMS has just released 4.37 with VR support

I have the big box version of Falcon 4.0 at my parents house along with the huge manual. That thing weighs about as much as a brick!

Falcon collection purchased on Steam which includes Falcon, Falcon 4.0, Falcon A.T and Falcon Gold for a whole £3.49. I've never heard of BMS but it look like they have done some fantastic work

Just had a quick fly around.
The key point is that it does have the fabled Falcon dynamic campaign.
It's also dirt cheap (£3) and the BMS update is free.
Additionally, looks like it'll run on virtually any potato level PC. The install including both the base game and BMS 4.37 is under 5GB, though that would probably increase if you're going to grab more maps.

From a quick fly around:
- Close up clouds rotate. DCS ones did that for a while some time back
- Ground details, e.g. buildings are shall we say, fairly basic
- From up high, looks OK
- There's only one real cockpit modelled, i.e. the F16. Being fair, looks genuinely well done. So whilst in theory you can fly other aircraft, you have to use the F16 cockpit
- The cockpit modelled is "clickable", very much like DCS and if you've flown the F16 in DCS, you'll be very familiar with it
- Took quite a while to map my controls, though being fair there's a lot
- By default, comes with the Korea theatre. There's a LOT of other free maps that are available to download
- As this is very much a "sim", looks like a big learning curve, i.e. inline with DCS

In short, unless you really want a cheap combat flight sim (which doesn't really make sense as even if the game is cheap, the peripherals aren't), then DCS/IL2 are still the go to.
If you already have them, and fancy checking out the campaign, go take a scan.

Thanks for detailed write up - when you mention runs on potato are you getting 90 fps consistently on your system?

Easily, and that's with all the settings that I could find turned up.
To restate though, even with the visuals maxed out, the terrain still looks pretty pap. What did surprise me was how good the cockpit looked.

Awesome, didn't expect this so soon, installed it earlier today ... love the new UI and updater ... oh and the plans for the future too.
Will dig out my VR headset and try it that way soon, need to sort my controllers first though and with the slicker new UI this might be easier than before I hope .. WTG BMS ... what a treat this is.
