Anyone ever had any falling dreams?

Dreams which you are falling to the ground hurtling at great speed, but before you hit the ground you wake up? I used to have them as a kid all the time. I even once hit the ground, then woke up.

I heard in such dreams you can die o.O
 
Not for a long time, and I don't believe that's true.

Last dream I remember I was an entertainer at football matches and Cheryl Cole was my assistant (and she wanted me)!
 
Google Sleep Deprivation

When you sleep, you mind just switches your body off, muscles etc become relaxed.

What you had is a lucid dream, your not alseep, yet your in a dream, your muscles are still connect to the brain.

As your still awake, your body can reciprocate the point of inpact, waking you up.

If you do not wake. The dream carrys on.

Yup, have had a few !

I had a dream about a year and a half ago, i was in a place and there was fire all around, just like hell really, was running along a thin bridge when i fell through and started falling and falling until a big blaze of fire came up and i went into to. I shook and it was pitch black and couldn't really breath, i had woke myself up by jumping (or scaring myself) but my room was pitch black and could hardly breathe.. was really weird.

Then went back to sleep. :D
 
For many years when i was a kid every dream i had finished with me hurling down our houses stairs banister, and i woke up just before i hit the ground. Last night i dreamt i crashed and flew off a raised roundabout funnily enough.
 
I tend to have more dreams where I can jump extraordinarily high, and see the ground come rushing up, and land quite happily lol, it's a pretty awesome sensation, even if it is just a dream :)

Reminds me of one I had before where I was blown away by the wind and just getting blown higher and higher until I fell to earth.
 
I used to have these all the time, along with them anti-mavity dreams, jumping across the street, wtf... These days I can't remember having any dreams at all, but at least i'm not freaking myself out any more.
 
Yes. I also have dreams where i step off the kerb and i fall, which wakes me up.

I also have flying dreams, IE i am a vampire and i can fly, but i don't turn into a bat.

And vice versa i am being chased by vampires, so i fly away, and just when i am about to be caught and devoured by them, i wake up.
 
i have had some, feels wierd.

i sometimes (once a week?) while im at uni, or sleeping by my self (at home i share a bed with my bro) i wake up choking with spit, wonder what that means.


also, once in a while a sexual dream would be nice lol, how to make those happen?
 
I usually have them, sorta.
Either i slip or i drop something and then i wake up from moving to catch it/make sure i dont land hard. Pretty annoying.

I got problems with all that sorta stuff tho so have loads of sleepwalking stories people have told to me :/
