Currently bought 1000 points for the windows live thingy. I want to buy an addon for fallout 3. theres 3 that catch my attention

Operation: Anchorage

The Pitt

Mothership Zeta

Which one do you recommend?
Or what other 4 more addons are worth the credits? Please say! i only thought there was 1 so i bought the points, then i realised there was 7...

Im looking for mass killing, good playability, good indepth quests, hardest gameplay preferably and high leveling. Not so fast but i want at the end of it to be a good high level.

cheers :D ill give them a good look through.

so far im in love with point lookout... need some advice from people that play the addons :P

Isnt the one you should get first Broken steel as it raises the level cap from 20-30 and allows you to carry on playing the game after you finish the main story line?

I havnt played any addons yet though, still going through vanilla.

all expansions apart from broken steel are gr8, BS is good but not as good as the rest

Played Broken Steel and Point Lookout; thought both were a bit shorter than they could have been. Broken Steel was good as has been said the level cap is increased to 30 but out of 2 my preference is for Point Lookout.

Those points are a ripoff; plenty of major online retailers sell double packs for nearly same price as 1000 points (hell one even had the GOTY edition for £20 this week I think)

The Pitt is probably better out of them all, Broken steel raises the level cap and lets you continue after the end of the main plot so thats the first one to get then the pitt.

Point lookout is ok abeit a bit short, Mothership Zeta the less said the better :/

Broken steel is a must for the first addon, jsut playing through it again as i managed to deleted my saved game, over 100 hours wasted!

i found broken steel pretty good, point lookout probably my favorite.

i found the pitt pretty short and not that exciting.

you have pretty much got to get broken steel first, then go in whicheer order you like for the others, everyone seems to have differant favorites!

They are all great for different reasons but only players who enjoyed Fallout3 should bother as always its more of the same but different enough to still warrant the purchase. Best thing to do is buy the GOTY edition as you get all 5 DLC & the full game for £20 online price then sell your Fallout3 with the LIVE access key you get in the GOTY edition to keep it all legal.

If you really want to buy 1 DLC for 800MSP then:

Mothership Zeta is the most entertaining & has more variety in grahics than the main game plus you get to revisit the wasteland after completing it.

Point Lookout is probably the worse as the difficulty is ridiculous even with a level 30 character the combat hit points you take are OTT and your best weapons do minimal damage so a real slogfest to get through although they do give you the largest DLC play area to explore.

The Pitt is quite easy to complete but the location is again quite different.

Operation Anchorage is easy and another unusual location.

Broken Steel is good for raising the level cap to 30 but probably weaker than the others as the locations are very similar to the main game wasteland's.

Not many Fallout3 fans complain about getting all 5 DLC in the GOTY though ;)

Here's my ranking:

#1 Broken Steel - additional levels and perks, a couple of nice assaults
#2 The Pitt - didn't like it at first but it kind of grew on me, it's also a bit bigger than I was expecting. Characterisation is decent.
#3 Operation Anchorage - different style to normal, more of a traditional FPS. The winterized T51b power armour you get at the end is the best armour I've found in the game because it never needs repairing.
#4 Point Lookout - not bad but I just didn't particularly like the location
#5 Mothership Zeta - very buggy, somewhat bland environment like you see on many spaceship levels in games

To be honest the only 'must have' is Broken Steel as it enhances the overall game in terms of the increased level cap. That gives you more incentive for tackling other quests etc.
