Ok so a few months ago i started up my fallout3 but said "new game" with continue greyed out. My game save was in the folder so presumed it was corrupt (my only beef with the engine).

I didnt complete it but wondering if i should give it another try? At first the ammo was scarse but 13-14 hours in its all over the place and became rather easy.

To be honst the main story was a bit pants ...maybe i can just walk around doing side missions??

Yeah the main story was pretty bad, wasn't it? I think you should give the game another go though, there are some pretty good side missions out there. You could also look into getting some mods to keep it fresh and make it a bit more challenging. Oh, and don't forget the DLC :).

Loved it for the first month but now it feels stale and old, I don't think it has the same replay ability as either Morrowind or Oblivion which is a shame, still an awesome game though and if your able to get back in to it then some of the side missions are awesome!

M,

By DLC I meant the official expansion. Probably better to look at the two new ones coming out soon, I haven't heard that many great things about Operation Anchorage. There are a bunch of great fan mods out there though, and they have the benefit of being free.

I had this, then noticed I was signed in with the wrong LIVE profile (not sure why it even needs to use this, but hey )

Might be something to check if you still have the old save?

Windows Live Profile???? I just clicked on the icon in Steam??

If i can get my old save running il give you a kidney (may not be mine though).

I had the same problem. Go to the save game folder and if you have a separate folder within there that has the name of your profile, you need to take the save game out of there and put it in the main save game folder (remember to back everything up first).

Hi Guys. I have been playing Fallout 3 for a while, its fine no problems. I have now installed Patch 1.4 from 1.1 and now I get a glitchy box flicker in the top right whenever I play or am in the menu, anyone else get this?

Same problem here too, I noticed it signed me in to Windows Live using my profile and couldn't find my save games because it had created a new folder with my Windows Live ID. Old save games were still there but in a different folder!
