I really do hope they don't screw up this game, I may look at Fallout with rose tinted glasses, but they're GOOD rose tinted glasses.

There is going to be a MMO made by interplay (the original makers of Fallout) and a Single Player RPG made by bethsedia (The makers of oblivion etc). My only worry at the moment is that the music on thier webpage is just so... not fallout. Fallout music for me is 60s music for the intro etc, or basic but atmospheric music for the game, what they have now is Jeremy Soule epic score number 129, dont get me wrong, jeremy style music is great in the right situation, but this isnt the right situation.

Just been looking at some of that guys artwork on the forum, he's quite good! :D I wish I could draw like that.

My feelings exactly.

I hope this game enables me to spend the time on it that I did the first 2 and give me as much fun.

I hope the dark humour and retro-futuristic feel of the original fallout games remains. Obviously there will be big changes from the 1st 2 games but if they can get the dialogue. quest structure (factions & being able to refuse quests etc), and character development right they should be half way there.... I'd hate to feel like I was playing an Oblivion mod!

The Interplay MMO is very unlikely to ever see the light of day. One of the conditions of Beths buying the Fallout license is that Interplay only have a year or two to collect 30 million funding. Otherwise Interplay lose the right to make the MMO, and Beths can then license it to whoever they like.

Several people in the know have publicly doubted Interplay's ability to get anywhere near that amount of money. Even if they did, the IP boss has estimated he'd need 75 million to actually complete it, and they also have a set time limit from getting the 30 mil to finishing the project.

by the same people who brought you oblivion, so expect masses of crashes, glitches and gaming braking bugs with no technical support. at all.
