Fallout 3 crashes ?

So is it normal for fallut 3 to crash randomly at least every 30 minutes ?

I've got it fully updated to patch 1.7 and i still get random crashes.

It's that bad atm that it's crashed 4 times in a row in the same town.

So after a bit of trawling a crapload of sites with reference's to fallout 3 crashes and freezes (a lot more specifically when entering houses/confinded areas), I found this.

It's worked a charm for me almost immediately and that's even with reloading a crash save, I can't believe that after such a massive amount of time from release that this game still has so many crashes.
