Is it possible to buy it second hand or is a one-use code provided in the box which renders it useless?

As far as I am aware, the disc just installs the expansions to your drive, no codes or anything. You could even get a group of friends together and buy just 1 and share it between you I believe.

I depends on the publisher and the anti-piracy procedures they have in place. Try contacting the publishers, they may have a disk replacement service providing you have Proof of Purchase.

Quite sure that there are no codes. You just stick the disk in. If they are selling them second hand then I'd imagine that you must be able to use them, otherwise there would be no point in them being on sale. :)

Well other than to catch people out?

I've got a couple of the expansion discs, never had to anything with any codes, lent one to a friend a few weeks back and he has had no problems with it.

So if you go into the purple logo'd high street store and see a copy of the expansion being sold preowned then it's only there for them to catch you out?

Why would they do that? Considering you can just take it back to the shop with the receipt within a matter of minutes of purchasing it? Don't be daft.

Well I didn't know if the purple shop sold it second hand! I was basing my question off a popular auction site!

Just to confirm. There are no codes, and yes it is perfectly safe to share or buy a preowned copy.

Enjoy Fallout ! :)
