worked fine yesterday with my old 5770 but it refuses to work with the 5850 it loads the game fine but upon trying to start a new game or load a save i get CTD and windows does not recognize what the problem is.

really annoying has i have nearly 60 hours gameplay time on there.

any suggestions would be gr8

*edit* and it's not the overclock as i have tried underclocking both cpu and gpu and still no joy

I had trouble with my FO3 while using the 5850 too. Try dumping the current game cache and launching the game via the launcher.exe if you are using Steam.

I had trouble with it crashing to desktop and not even loading the game to start with, until I done the above and it seems to work fine now.

Never managed to get FO3 working on my HD5850. Tried drivers back to 10.1, even a reformat. It just crashes at the intro where you select sex/name/etc.

I'm going to wait for the HD6000 series and try it then. But i'm not holding out much hope.

Heads up, mine wouldnt work until i unistalled Asus Gamer OSD and the gamedoctor thing that installs with it, dont know why. Catalyst control centre is fine.

This worked for me i tried deleting local game content and downloading again but still got the same thing so uninstalled gamer osd and smartdoctor redownloaded and it's working fine TBH the smartdoctor interferes with so much stuff it's unreal
