fallout 3 LIVE question

hi all i have just installed fallout 3 via steam when i click on the Live option i have defitely signed into my profile ok, do i then just click new game to carry on.

usually with LIVE games you have the option to play against other ppl in the community online, with my fallout 3 if i click LIVE it just brings up my profile menu is this normal and you only use the LIVE option to earn achievements while playing in single player mode?

Non existent.

You'll only use live for the achievements with this game, there is no online multiplayer.
