Fallout 3 patches.

Hi guys,

Just got Fallout 3 and I'm wondering what to do with patches? I don't have any of the DLC's yet, I'm reading the patch notes and they just say extra achivments for the DLC's. Is their any performance fixes etc that I might have missed?

A lot of people found vanilla (unpatched) to be best as it's the most stable. I certainly found the patches did more harm than good (I have no DLCs yet either), the most annoying thing to me was the delay when entering VATS that appeared after the first patch I think. It's still not fixed.

Just play it and see how you go, it shouldn't be an issue until you get a DLC.

Yeah, Vanilla for me seemed the best. Every patch and DLC release since then seems to have buggered up more than fixed. Things like wierd mouse acceleration, VATs delay, and general stabilty problems. Cant remember having a problem at release .
